Russian oil production at an all-time high since the end of the USSR

Russia produced 11.246 million barrels a day in 2019, a record since 1987 under the USSR. The country is however engaged in the reduction of production approved by OPEC +.

Not content with posting good performances on the wheat market , Russia does not abandon the energy component. The country announced that it had reached its highest level of oil production since the end of the USSR in 1991. 11.246 million barrels per day (mbd), the figure closest to 11.416 mbd in the record year of 1987. In total, 560.2 million tonnes of oil were produced in 2019, up 0.8%.
